The stunning high-gloss paint in a moody blue hue of this formal antique mirrored butler’s pantry perfectly reflects the taste and sophistication of the overall room aesthetic.  The project scope included a full kitchen as well.  The clients have children and like to entertain; they wanted a beautiful and glamorous space in their large, traditional home.  They desired a room to hold their formal china, so the butler’s pantry serves a practical purpose. The room enters into the formal dining space and is viewable from the dining room.  The client wanted the space to be interesting and bold, and the color palette was influenced by the palette of the adjacent dining room. O’Brien Harris used glass cabinets with a mirrored backing to make the space look larger and incorporated a decorative grill with a two-part construction. Hardware is nickel, interior drawers are walnut, and silver drawers are custom fitted.
